Casey Greene - Teaching

Casey is happy to take on anybody from the age of 7 to 107. He has been teaching music since 1985 and is equally at home doing private classes or conducting ensembles. Capable of teaching for fun or to achieve Associated Board Graded Examinations, his experiences encompasses Beginner Level to Advanced Professionals on either the Saxophone (tenor, alto, soprano and baritone), Flute or Clarinet. Casey can also teach an approach to Jazz Improvisation on any instrument at any level.

In all cases his teaching manifesto is as follows:

  • Encouraging confidence and high self esteem in all his students
  • Setting and achieving goals
  • Instilling the discipline of regular daily practice
  • A balance of attention to tone, technique and rhythm
  • The importance of listening to the great artists
  • Involvement of playing in musical ensembles
