"We Really Enjoyed The Performance At The Ruskin Glass Centre Cafe Last Sunday Evening. Thank You For “Georgia”..it Was Very Special. Will Look Out For You When You Are Over Here Again..3rd Time We’ve Heard You And Always Amazed At Your Skill!"

Norma Tilling – June 2012

"Casey Greene’s band Quiver gave a superb performance as part of the Rush Hour Blues series of concerts at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall Level 3 Bar. Their two sets consisted of original material with some excellent ensemble playing and inventive solos. The band seem to have a more ‘electric’ edge since I last saw them. Their album ‘Cous Cous’ is currently available and well worth checking out."

Garry Corbrtt – Rush Hour Blues -Birmingham June 2011

"It has been an evening of excellent music. Greene’s engaging compositions avoid the clichés of Latin music and his writing is consistently interesting. The interlocking rhythms of Maguire, Bashford and Inniss evolve constantly and maintain the listener’s attention. They also provide the framework for high quality jazz soloing from King, Macias and Greene himself. The leader demonstrates a remarkable ability not only on tenor, alto and soprano sax but also on flute. The breadth of colour this wide range of instruments offer makes for a well balanced programme with plenty of changes of mood and pace."

Ian Mann (24dash.com) – 25th July 2007

"’Cous Cous’ is a very enjoyable album. The colourful rhythmic patterns laid down by the resourceful Sifontes and his rhythm section colleagues are fascinating in themselves but also provide the framework for some excellent Jazz solos from Greene, King (isn’t that a brewery?) and Macias. The main plaudits though must go to Greene for the inventive compositions that allow for the construction of this framework. In an effective fusion of Latin rhythms and Jazz soloing he avoids many of the clichés of the genre and has come up with something that sounds fresh and invigorating."

Ian Mann (24dash.com) – June 2007

"’Cous Cous’ an intricate, tightly woven tapestry of Latin Jazz Big Band excitement featuring the exceptional voice of Mr. Greene on Flute, inspired playing, very nice."

Paul J. Youngman (KJA Advocate) – June 2007

"Quiver…a fireworks of sound and a waterfall of cascading rhythms."

(Sydney Morning Herald).

"Greene’s flute playing is stunning. He creates sounds and textures that come straight out of the Amazon, then soars up with clarity and focus."

(Flute Society of NSW).

"Originality is rare, I have not heard anything like Quiver."

(Australian Jazz Journal).
